04-5-2009 - 29 Weeks and first blog Just fineMy mood while writing this blog:
Just fine

I picked the jump rope icon because there's no way I could do that right now! I have nothing exciting or dramatic to enter here. I'm 29w+2d with my third baby. The ultrasounds say I'm having a boy. My husband and I are the only two who know what I'm having - we lied and told everyone else we don't know what the sex is.

At 19 weeks, I had my first ultrasound. The radiologist thought that our baby's heart and stomach were in the wrong positions (a birth defect called dexiocardia), so I was referred to the Mayo Clinic for a more specific ultrasound. At 21 weeks, I had the second ultrasound. Within 10 seconds of the start of the ultrasound, the radiologist declared that everything was normal! Apparently, the baby had flipped during the original ultrasound, but the tech didn't notice it. Big sigh of relief!

Since then, things have been a breeze. I've gained 20 lbs and am 184 lbs now. That's 15 lbs more than I've ever weighed in my life (including during my two previous pregnancies)! I'm coming to grips with it, though. Hopefully, I'll be able to lose the weight after the baby comes. This will be our last baby (my husband's getting a vasectomy) unless God plants a SURPRISE one in there. So, I have the rest of my life to get my body back! :)

Well, that's about it. I hope to do this every week until the baby comes so I can see how my moods fluctuate during the next 11 weeks! Crazy, crazy!

Well it looks like you and baby are doing well!! I'm also on my third and last baby, unless God decides to plant a SURPRISE one in there. It seems like you had a relatively smooth pregnancy. I can't wait to see how your mood changes over the next 11 weeks. (And more than likely, it will!! LOL) Well, Take care
