22-6-2009 - Getting closer at 37 weeks FineMy mood while writing this blog:
Fine

According to my new due date, I'm 37 weeks and 1 day today. The countdown says 20 days. Crazy. I really don't think I'll go before July 12th, though. We'll see. I discovered the beauty of the local swimming pool today. That felt soooo good. But I think I felt twice as heavy when I got out! lol I'm seriously considering a water birth (or at least water labor) if our hospital has it available. Something about being weightless.

My husband's started his whole "I have too much to do before the baby gets here" attitude he gets. (He had it with my other two kids.) I wish he could just lie and pretend like he's excited the baby's coming. Instead, he acts like it's something I'm doing TO him. He sighs or shakes his head if I mention how many days are left. Man, it bothers me!

Physically, things are pretty good. My feet started swelling this weekend (when the heat kicked in). I usually wear a size 7 shoes, but had to buy size 9 flip-flops. They work really well when my feet start getting big. Plus, I broke down and bought a maternity swimsuit, too. That wasn't cheap - $50. There was only one XL left - the rest were smalls and mediums. My husband said, "Well, that tells you something." He's right! Right now it's the best $50 I've spent!

Too funny! I spent $50 on a maternity swimsuit this year and thought I would regret it, until just the past few weeks when the temp has gone up to the 100's! Luckily we have a pool in our yard, but getting out is horrible!! I feel soooo heavy as it is, but then when I get out of the pool it's 100 times worse! And the bad part is that it's an above ground pool so I have to climb up a ladder to get out! lol It's all worth it for the time in the pool where I'm weightless and feel so good.
