09-1-2009 - MY 34 WEEK APPT AND CHILDBIRTH CLASS

My mood while writing this blog:
A LITTLE SICK BUT OK

Wednsday I went to my doctors appointment.. Everything went well I'm measuring in at 31 and he says the baby is close to 4 pounds. Not quite 4 but should be at 4 the next time I go to the doctor.. I was a little worried because at this point I thought my son would weigh a little more than that but my doctor told me not to worry.. He said it's a normal weigh seeing I still have a few more weeks to go and he will be packing on half a pound a week..

Well my grandmother had some concerns as well but I had to remind her that I've only gained 21 pounds so far so it's not like I was going to be giving birth to a big baby.. Not to mention my husband and I were born a month early and were both considered to be preemies.. It's shocking how much we are alike.. But back to my appointment... He asked me were I still having pain in my pelvic area and I informed him that I was so he prescribed Tylenol3 to me..

Now I'm a little scared to take it because of the codine in it. Don't want to be druging my son.. I guess it's safe to take but my family says it will knock me out yet relieve all the pain I've been having.. What do you all think??

OH we finally finished our 4wk childbirth class and recieved our certificates!!! Yeaaa!! My husband was actually excited as I was to be finish.. There's alot more classes I want to take but I think we're done for now..

Don't worry about your baby's weight. My baby weights 4pounds and 12 ounce. My Doc said he is small but she is not concerned as I am small as well. I have only gained 26pounds so far. My mother is concerned because she thinks I'll have a tiny baby. Well as for me as long as the baby is healthy thats all that matters. I don't want to have a tear trying to push out a big baby.

The tylonal3 or hydrocodone will not hurt the baby. My doc gave it to me with my son and while i was breastfeeding and it does not excreet into the breastmilk or placenta. And your baby does put on alot of weight towards the last month or so. He will be at a healthy weight at birth. And i have to tell you how jelous i am that you have only gained 21lbs. You brat.....i am trying soooo hard to limit myself to 25. My next weigh in is on wed so we will see what my total is so far. i started out more than you so i'm sill jelous. Your doing great and you will be sooo thankful cause its going to fall right off revealing your hot little mama bod. xoxo

If the doctor prescribed it to you, he must feel the tylenol won't harm your son, but I would only take it when the pain was unbearable ONLY...but Congrats on finishing your childbirth class!! And I say bring on the small babies it might not hurt as much as trying to push out a 8lb baby??
