My wonderful pregnancy ride is now in motion. The morning sickness is now starting to kick in, which makes me feel sick, but so much more positive about he pregnancy. With my last prenancy I had no morning sickness at all then to end up with a m/c. So things are starting to look up for us!

Well, I decided to call the doc today, only because I realized I'm one month behind with my annual (guess I was too focused on TTC). I go in on Thursday, Valentine's Day. What a day to be getting an annual check up. Geesh!! I can already predict: "Ok, well according to our paper chart, you're 4 weeks pregnant. Go and get a blood test. See you next month." What I really want to hear is, "Congratulations on your pregancy. You must feel so elated! I know things will be a bit nerve wrecking since the miscarriage, but don't worry, we will do an ultrasound right away and guarantee that everything is fine. Come back in two weeks so you can hear the heartbeat. Call us anytime, day or night if you need a shoulder to lean on"--- Yeah that'll be the day! Post on Thursday.

Well yesterday I went to the doc. I got my pap smear done, YEAH-- NOT!! I also did a urine pregnancy test which came back positive. Today I get my blood work done, double YEAH-- NOT, NOT! Surprisingly, the midwife wants to see me in two weeks. I think I will get another pelvic exam so she can look at the size of my uterus and check what ever else with the preganancy. Oh yeah, the most predictable part of course, she takes her circular paper chart and says, well you are 4 weeks, 2 days pregnant and due October 23. I really don't think I'm that far behind, but hey, I am very excited to atleast have a due date. THANK GOD!!

Morning sickness has arrived FULL FORCE!! Everyday it arrives approximately from the time I wake up and departs when I go to sleep-- in other words this morning sickness is also known as " all day wanting to pass out/throw up/lye down syndrome". Also, when I eat, my stomach blows up to make me look like I'm already 5 months pregnant!! Just can't help it. I wasn't this bad with my son, but I am still appreciating all my symptoms from my little blessing.

So of course I had to reschedule my appointment that I had with the midwife tomorrow. She's sick, go figure. My next appointment is now on Monday, March 3. I've also figured out my sickness-- it comes approximately every 2 hours. Yes, I get nauseas every 2 hours after I eat, even worst if I don't!...Still smiling.

Yesterday was my birthday, YAHOO!! It was the one and only day I wasn't sick. I was actually entertaining myself to think, 'well maybe the sicknes is over'. Today I realized it was my baby saying 'Happy Birthday Mommy, I won't make you sick today' (which was yesterday). This morning right on time, as I got up it started again, but at work around 10:30 this morning, I almost surrendered. I was soooooo nauseas. My mouth was getting full of saliva, just as it gets as it prepares itself to open and release. I was soooo fighting it. It's even worst because no one knows I'm PG yet, so I have to keep it together. I'm trying to provide therapy with my student and trying not to run out or dash to the nearest corner to humiliate myself. However, I won, I won the battle. I never puked! Thank God! Though, I think my pukeless days may be coming to an end...

I went back to the midwife today. The exam consisted of an interview basically. Since I'm only 6 weeks, I guess there's not much to do. I did express my concerns of the cyst and fibroid, so I go back for a sonogram in two weeks. I'm excited about that cause I'm sure I can see my little sweet pea by then. In a month from today I go back for my second prenatal visit with the follow up from the sonogram. By that time I should get to hear the heartbeat. Can't wait!
3/7/08 Today I woke up feeling very sick. I thought it was bad allergies (scratchy throat, runny eyes, sneezing) then as the day went on my body started to hurt and I thought maybe I was catching the flu. I came home and rested and don't feel as bad anymore, but now I'm cramping. Nothing painful, just feels like I exerted myself too much and my uterus is screaming at me. I will rest for the rest of the weekend and hope I get better.
