07-3-2009 - 28 weeks check up

My mood while writing this blog: happy!

Had my 28 week check up yesterday, all seems well, I got weighed and it seems I've gained 6 pounds altogether since i first started which is pretty crazy considering i feel huge! I have been reading other peoples weights and it seems pretty low, most people have gained over 20 pounds by now, but the doctor said she's really happy and as long as i keep gaining steadily like i have then there's nothing to worry about.

I'm measuring good and the babies heart beat is perfect. He's super active and seems to be kicking up in my ribs all the time!

I had to do the Glucose test, really wasn't as bad as i thought it was gonna be, The nurse who gave it to me was a total Bitch, i almost felt like asking her wether she was having a bad day or something, if it wasn't for our doctor being so lovely i'd move to another clinic. Its funny how personal you take things when your preggers!

So hopefully i'll pass the test! The doctor wants us to go for another scan in 2 weeks as there's fluid pockets around the baby which she wants to monitor, its like a sweet and sour deal, i love that we're gonna get to see him again but the scans cost us so much, we can barely afford rent right now so coming up with that $150 is gonna be tough. But our babies health comes first so we'll figure it out!

Had an amazing baby shower last weekend and finally have some super cute stuff to hang up in Ollie's closet, a friend of ours got us a beautiful blanket with his name embroidered on it, so cute!

So thats my 28 week update, i quite like recording stuff down on here, even if nobody reads it, its nice to read back later on :)

Is it your amniotic fluid the doctors think is either low or high?? They thought that with me too, but everything was spot on at my ultrasound. I'm sure yours will be too! Other then that sounds like your doing great! Enjoy it, it will all be over before you know it!

hey! glad to hear things are going so well. Isn't it crazy how time just flies right by? Hopefully you get the money situation all figured out for your u/s. I know how frustrating that can be. This economy just sucks right now and I know you've had insurance problems on top of it all. Hopefully everything is fine with your little boy though, and he is healthy as can be. Good luck with everything. We don't have too much longer to go!!!
