26-3-2009 - feeling humbled

My mood while writing this blog: humble

After my horrible experience yesterday with the nasty receptionist, when i thought my faith in humanity was damaged forever, things do a complete 160!

My friend Amber came over who's also expecting, she's a week behind, we were meeting for lunch today with her other pal Katie who has a 5 week old boy and they totally surprised me with tons of baby stuff, literally stacked up outside my apartment!

She's a member of a church and had told them how much we are struggling as we're not insured and my husbands hours were cut to part time after Xmas. So they all donated loads of baby goodies for us!!

There's a swing, play mat, car seat, loads of brand new clothes, a baby monitor, baby bath, loads of diapers, toys, towels and blankets, a $50 walmart voucher, just so much i was overwhelmed!

I've been stressing recently because we have so little and i worry he could come early and we'd be totally ill prepared but now i feel we'd be just fine!

I've never been to the church and know none of these people, its so humbling to know, even in such a bad recession, people want to help :)
