24-11-2008 - 11/24/08 - Dr. Appt.

My mood while writing this blog: Nappy time.

Wow! Dr.'s appt. was annoying today. I had to sit in the waiting room for an hour and they really have the most uncomfortable furniture. At one point when I switched positions and turned I started seeing stars. That is about the third or fourth time that has happened to me during the pregnancy when it wasn't from bending over and then standing up or something of that nature. Just pretty much, sitting there.

Anyway, then it took another hour to get the exam done and check out. So, two hrs at the Dr.'s office today. Then she said I could come back after lunch for an U/S or I could schedule it for the following week. Of course I chose to wait till next week.

So, while I was in the exam room the nurse looked at me and asked if I could do the swab for the strep B test, myself. I said to her, is the Dr. not going to do a pelvic exam still? I would like to check for any dilation.

So, anyway, I am not dilated at all and the cervix is still very high she said. She did the swabs for the strep B test. Baby's heart rate was 140 and she is no longer head down and has turned sideways again.

That's about it for today's appointment. I cannot wait for the u/s next week to see how much hair she has and how much she weighs and how big she is.

Being a little stubborn baby ....lol I had my last ultrasound at 35 weeks and something. All we got a good picture of was a foot and the *boy junk* lol But then again he was head down :)

I hope you can see something on your u/s because when we had one last week it was so hard to get a view since they're getting bigger now. There was a lot of shadow type coloration and she said it was because his bones reflect now..... I was like ugh ok..lol sorry you had a bad appt.
