||My mood while writing this blog:|
Okay, so update on the Dr. appointment yesterday.
I had an ultrasound to check the amount of waters in my amniotic sac. They say that they look for it to be at least a 5 and mine was 8.33. So, that obviously was good.
Dr. check my cervix. No changes at all there. Only a fingertip still (.5 cm) and still only 50% effaced. Same as the last two weeks. Baby had dropped some more this week though.
They hooked us up to the non-stress test machine and monitored our little ones heartbeat and contractions for about 20 minutes. They say that I had a contraction or two during that time. I didn't feel them at all. Baby's heartbeat and her activity levels were fine the whole time.
Moral of the story...everything is fine for me to stay pregnant. All the conditions are still favorable for being pregnant. None-the-less the Dr. is still pushing me for induction and I don't want to be induced. Hubby and I still think that our due date was about 5 days early. One of our ultrasounds very early on showed us due on Christmas Day. All of our early ultrasounds had us reaching milestones close to a week late. The heartbeat wasn't there the week it should have been based on the 20th due date but the next week it was there, etc.... So, hubby and I are in no hurry to rush our little darling. We want her to come in her own time. But, I am very worried about the Dr.'s push and influence. She wants to induce us no later than the 2nd of January which would be 2 weeks late from the 20ths due date. But, again we believe that the 25ths due date was more appropriate and we don't want to get to crazy until we would be 2 weeks from that due date. I don't know what to do but to keep praying that she'll come on out on her own on Christmas Eve like we've been thinking all along she was going to do.
Okay, enough for now it is 1:35 in the afternoon and I actually still haven't eaten today. Time to go raid the kitchen, get a shower, and get out of this house for a bit or something.

- Tuesday, 23 Dec if your doc is really worried, he/she can just keep a close eye on you and the baby, like daily visits to hospital to check all the things you had checked today. i imagine there would be warning of anything not functioning right. go with your gut feeling. sara-in-oregon
- Tuesday, 23 Dec I guess you just have to keep reminding your doc that there might be a problem with the dates... and try to stay as stress free as possible. massages and acupuncture sound like good ideas to me... luckily we are not planning to go anywhere, and no family is going to visit us, so we should be able to have a nice quiet relaxing christmas. I hope things are not too stressful around your house with the holidays.
