hey girls, so the full moon did not exactly work in our family's favor. My husband and son were in a car accident today, they're both ok but they had to take x-rays and cat-scans at the hospital. My husband's wrist is sprained and my son has a nasty burn mark from the seat belt. The car is pretty much totaled. The accident involved 4 cars, the first one abruptly stopped, made a sudden turn and took off, and the other three did not get enough time to brake accordingly. My husband's car was the last one in line so thank god no one smashed into the back - very fortunate considering the fact that that's where my son was. It was really scary, my husband called and very calmly told me that everything is ok, but they were in an accident, and that they were both fine. It happened just 3 minutes away from where we live, so I was there right away. Unfortunately I arrived in a bad moment b/c they were putting my son (on the stretcher) in the ambulance. I only saw his shoes and recognized them right away, my heart just jumped and I pulled over, left the car and started running towards the ambulance. His head was in the collar b/c they didn't know how much trauma he suffered, but he was conscious and could talk. I was so scared b/c he was very cold and trembling (and head trauma can be fatal), and I made them keep checking his pulse all the time until we arrived at the hospital. My husband followed us in my car. As soon as we got to the hospital, they were both assigned rooms at the ER, so I kept running back and forth from one room to the other. My mom and my sister came though, and so did my son's dad, plus they both seemed ok. After all the tests they ok'd their release. I just wanted to tell you, all the ladies who are so impatient for those babies to pop out, that today when I was sitting in the ER waiting room I kept thinking about how safe our little ones are when they're still inside - and how less and less control we have over what happens to them afterwards. The baby was kicking like crazy in my belly, and I was so happy she was still in there!
