My mood while writing this blog: Excited |
Hi everyone!
So excited. I have officially finished work. I'm off this week and maternity leave starts from Monday next week, but i have finished work and have no more shifts to do! It feels great to have finished. It may seem early considering i'm not due for another 12 weeks but my job is too dangerous to continue any longer.
Oh i just feel free. I couldn't wait to finish anyway but now i have i'm kind of wondering what i'm going to do with all this time. I know i should just enjoy it while i can and there are a few jobs i want to get done and of course christmas to prepare for. It's also come at the best time in terms of me getting some sleep. I'm being woken alot in the night by aches and pains and i get tired quite a bit throughout the day, so its nice to know i can jut sleep when i need to now.
The money side of things is the only rubbish bit of maternity leave. It's only statutory pay if you can call it pay and it makes things a bit tight. But theres never a right time to have a baby if your waiting for finances to be perfect.
I've had a bit of a realisation today. I saw my sister - in - laws baby for the first time and he is 6 weeks old now. He' s so small and adorable and for the first time ever i held a baby and felt comfortable and right and wished that it was mine. Only 12 weeks to wait, lets hope it goes quickly!
Hope all you ladies are doing good, got consultant appointment on wednesday so i'll update you all then, oh and we may finally have a name! x x

Monday, 9 Nov YAY!!! Soo pleased that you finally have finished that place!! Woop! Relax now hun and enjoy this time get as much done as your energy levels will allow but take it easy then the last few weeks get your bags ready and relax as she could come early and even if she doesn't it's best to be prepared for her arrival! but i totally agree with Rach you take for granted how easy and simple it is to grab your keys and go from the house now its like a military operation, Feed's check nappies and wipes check, extra clothes, blankets, check etc.... without remembering ur phone purse and keys lmao! and all the kit, pram, carseat loool! i have to leave Danyal in the house whilst i put the pram in the car then get him and put him in the car its more difficult in this new house cause of the steps up and can't carry both hehe! So yeah make the most of your time hun! take nice relaxing baths too thats all i ever did oohh and eat and sleep! take care x x x lulabell7 -
Monday, 9 Nov just relax and get plenty of sleep, thats what im going to do x RainbowRach -
Monday, 9 Nov My advice is get the jobs done now, so you can spend the last few weeks relaxing and putting your feet up. I will admit, it does make the time go slowly but you will not get a full nights sleep for a while after the baby arrives so enjoy 'you time' now. Also, make the most of people making a fuss of you as the attention will be straight on the baby after the birth! lol. Oh and REALLY make the most of being able to pick up your keys and your purse to leave the house on a whim......that sooooo wont happen when you have a baby ;) I sound like I am moaning, Im not - its all good fun! lol You cant leave us hanging, WHAT NAME HAVE YOU PICKED???? hehe x
