25-1-2010 - 9 days until due....

My mood while writing this blog: excited

Hey Lovely Ladies

For once i am not moaning! I have 9 days to go until my due date and i'm so excited. Midwife visited me at home this morning as my usual midwife is on holiday, and everything is fine and dandy.

All usual tests were normal, and Aimee is now 3/5ths engaged, woohoo. Also lying in a perfect position, she is definately getting herself ready in there. She is still moving quite a bit but thats probably to get herself in position. She has settled down a little but those kicks and movements seem more noticeable because were both a bit tight on space now.

So 7 days until i see my midwife again and she said if Aimee still hasn't arrived by then she will give me a sweep on monday. I know they aren't guaranteed to work but its better than doing nothing, and she said the one she did last week worked and the baby was born 2 days later. I'm so excited I feel like even if it doesn't work, it will be the beginning of the end anyway. She said she will offer me another sweep if the first doesn't work and then after that i will be booked in to be induced.

So best case scenario i could be a mummy next week and if not then i might get a valentines baby which would also be really cute but don't really want to wait that long if im honest!

Ahhhh so excited, getting lots of cramps and tummy pains on and off but nothing regular, so am just taking each day as it comes and hoping for some action soon.
