My mood while writing this blog: Really fed up now |
Oh my God! Last night i had the panic of my life. I suddenly realised at about 11pm that i couldn't remember feeling Aimee move that day and being bed time she usually wriggles like mad. So i poked and proded, jumped around, drank cold water and nothing not even a flutter.
So i called the out of hours line and they seemed ok with it until i said i was 6 days over due and then she said come in straight away, which really made me panic because she changed her tone so quickly. She said the placenta which is the babys life line can give up after 40 weeks which is why no movements after this time have to be taken seriously.
So got to the hospital and was monitired on a CTG machine for 45 minutes and i still felt nothing which midwife said was unusual as they usually go mad when you hook them up to those machines. She said machine has picked up a good strong heart beat but very few little movements. She said she isn't moving alot but she was happy to send me home and i had to return today if id still felt nothing.
Well i lay awake until about 4am and finally got some small movements and have had some small movements today but nothing fantastic. What is going on? I'm a week overdue now and if shes not safe in there i want her out but how do i know? Could she be settling down ready for labour or is something wrong. I know i am exhausted so wouldn't blame her if she'd had enough too.
So fed up now, i want her here safe and well.

Thursday, 11 Feb ive been the same the other day i realised i didnt feel my baby move all day. I was worried sick! the next day i called the hosptal and they told me to come in staight away for a fetal monitoring. The baby still didnt move but they picked up a strong heart beat. The midwife said theres no room for the baby to move anymore as its so cramped in there. Dont worry about it. He was moving the next day but only little movements. dreemajic28 -
Wednesday, 10 Feb They should take her... No questions, ESPECIALLY with you being overdue! As for some reassurance- my son was not overdue but had VERY LITTLE movement the day before I went into labor with him, so it very well could be she is getting ready to grace you with her presence! steph mom of 3 beauties x -
Wednesday, 10 Feb Oh hun, you must of been so terrified! I went there a couple of times myself after experiencing the same lack of fetal movements, and i cried as i felt so helpless and worried sick incase i'd loose him! As my aunt had a still birth at 40 weeks! But i told them this and it didn't concern them much! But if you report i think 2 or 3 episodes of lack of fetal movements they have to act on it and induce right away! I know this because they told me they would do this if i had one more episode, Yeah they normally go mad as soon as your hooked up to those machines and danyal did it all the time And when your saying the baby ain't moving it makes you look like a liar! But on the up side you wouldn't mind that as long as your reassured all is well with baby, I think that there is no longer any room for Aimee to comfortably move around and she's prob tired of trying and not getting anywhere i think she will come pretty soon as they usually go all quiet before the big event and i can't remember danyal moving at all during labour but he must of because there coming out of you lol! But you know how i mean no kicks or wriggles, Maybe it was the pain thats the reason i can't remember! Hey at least she's not breech my poor sister in law is due in 3 weeks and her little girl is breech and she's a skinny woman and her belly is huge it looks a funny shape her being breech and she is having an elective c-section because of a traumatic first birth with her son ouch!! She is scared of going into labour and it going soo quick that they can't do a section and she tries to come out natural breech! oohhh doesn't bear thinking about! But she's soo against a normal birth because of what happened last time baby was in the wrong position for delivery they didn't pick this up so she agonised for hours as baby tried to come out the wrong way and go stuck so they used forceps and basically ended up very sore stitches etc... so i agree with her not wanting to chance that one but c-section's also scare me but hey iv'e heard from people who have had them that they ain't that bad, its just the 6 weeks no driving that would prove difficult for me getting ellie to school nevermind! What i mean is she is keeping you waiting but she is positioned ready to go and has kept you waiting this long so i hope her entrance into this world will be a nice easy one for you with no prob''s thinking of you anyway take care! x x ana23pink -

Wednesday, 10 Feb I think she is getting ready for labor. Like the calm before the storm! I heard they get really quiet and still right before labor begins. It's been 12 years since having a baby so I don't really remember. Why are they not inducing you?? Starting you on Patosum? Can't you request this?? proud.mummy.of.3xxx -
