03-3-2010 - Just an update feeling goodMy mood while writing this blog:
feeling good

Hi ladies,

Just an update because i have the opportunity to do it now and don't know if i will on Saturday. Aimee is doing just great! I started upping her feeds towards bedtime(our bedtime as she doesnt have one yet) so instead of leaving a 4 hour gap i leave just 2 and then feed her again then change her and get her ready for bed and put her back on literally until she falls asleep. This has been keeping her going for 6 maybe 7 hours through the night before she wakes me. We usually aim to all be asleep for midnight so that were getting up at about 7.30am by the time Aimee has been fed and it means we dont have to rush to be out in the morning, and we have time to fuss Aimee for being such a good girl and leting mummy and daddy sleep.

During the day she still goes 4 hours at the moment but she is starting to get grizzly just short of the 4 hours wheras i used to have to wake her for every feed. Health visitor has said its because she will need to be upping her milk intake soon as shes getting bigger. Unlike bottles you cant just add a bit more formula the breast needs time to produce more milk, so for a week to 10 days Aimee will need to feed more often to make the breasts produce more milk. So her patterns may be a bit all over the place shortly but im still going to try and keep the night feed the same, although for a week im prepared to get up and feed her if i need to.

She is startng to watch things with her eyes and she follows your face when you move. She will also copy facial expressions or try to and she comes up with some hilarious inventions of her own. She loves lamps and is facinated by our bedroom light which is like a chandelier but black and moves slightly in the breeze. Makes pretty patterns that she loves to watch. She still does the wind smiles and sometimes they make her laugh. I know i know its not proper smiling or laughing yet but its still so cute! I cant get a picture of her doing it though!

As for me! The problems down below are virtually gone! Still a tiny bit of discomfort sometimes but nothing compared to what i had, its all worked itself out now. Also during the day im just wearing panty liners now and to be honest didnt bleed that heavily anyway so im pleased with that. The other half is starting to get a bit suggestive! Especially as we went so long without being intimate towards the end of the pregnancy. He didnt like the idea of "poking" the baby! lol! Talk about inflated ego! No, im joking, but i was fine with that as i just felt heavy and tired anyway. I dont think im ready just yet and i'm not on any contraceptive yet either and definately don't want any accidents! Don't get me wrong i do miss him in that way but theres nothing wrong with waiting a bit longer is there?

Just a quick question for you ladies. When is it ok to leave Aimee unattended with the baby monitors on? For instance to have a shower or pop downstairs for a drink when shes settling. At the moment i dont leave her out of my sight unless Matt is home but its not practical???

Thanks for reading, and looking forward to hearing from you - I'll post more pics soon x x
