10-8-2009 - waiting for results.....

My mood while writing this blog: frustrated

Well had my level 2 u/s on Friday (8/7/09). The scan seemed to go ok....although the tech did not tell me anything! It took a full hour and she had to come back in a second time to get more pics of the heart. She also did a Trans vagional U/S to measure my cervix. (she said my doctor had called and requested this and did I know why?) No I do not know why!!!!!!! I wish my doctor told me things instead of nothing unless I ask.

The u/s confirmed it is a boy! Yeah---baby weighed between 11-12 ounces and seemed to be doing ok. I did notice the baby had clenched fists which can be a soft marker for a chromisonal disorder but again need to speak to the doctor to see what they say! Other than that I thought all seemed ok---I loved getting to see the baby again---especially in such detail. They gave me lots of pics and a video!

I noticed my cervix was measuring between 3.3cm and 3.08 cm in the 3 minute transvagional u/s. at 13 weeks it was 3.85 cm----I hope this is not an early sign of a problem? My daughter was ten days late but I had a very tramatic birth which I have been told could cause cervical problems this time around. Anyone else in this situation?

I have left my doctor a message this morning at 8:30am---hope they call me back soon! I am a nervous wreck! (and thinking why the heck can't the tech tell you anything at the scan----stupid NYS law!)
