09-9-2009 - Referral to hospital

My mood while writing this blog: Concerned & worried

Im a bit concerned. . . Jake is 10 months old and he had the health visitor come round yesterday to check his legs etc cuz he wasnt sitting up the last time she visited.. well hes sittin up now (when he can be bothered lol) but he wont stand on his feet at all! I went to a mother and baby group the other day and there was 10month old babies WALKING round.. i was gobsmacked!! I sometimes wonder if its something im doing wrong.. like not putting him on his feet often enough? The health visitor is referring him to the hospital for them to check his feet - he had turned in feet when he was born and they gave me exercises to do with him to help his feet straighten out. Maybe they're not quite right still. I dont know! Ive heard boys are lazier than girls so maybe thats why he wont stand on his feet lol.

Other than that hes doing fine! He eats absolutely anything. Hes completely off his baby milk so ive asked the health visitor if i can give him cows milk and shes said not really but it wont do him any harm if he wont drink his baby milk!

He has weetabix, ready brek or a baby cereal for breakfast with a drink of milk or juice, a 10month jar of baby food or anything i make for dinner with a petit filous yoghurt for pudding, same again for tea and for supper he has a cereal or porridge. He doesnt drink much through the day but enough to put my mind at rest!

He has things like baby jars, cheesy beans, spaghetti, macaroni cheese, toast, dairylea on bread, bananas as finger foods, biscotti, roast dinners, pasta, stew, fish pie, rusks, he likes wotsits n white chocolate buttons, petit filous yoghurts, munch bunch, all sorts of fruit.. im quite lucky he eats anything and everything i give him because its alot easier for me to go food shopping!
