6 Weeks!

Well, we found out quite early. I took a test the day my pd was due, I just had a feeling! We got married in July and started trying right away. I was on the pill for quite awhile and was disappointed when it didn't 'happen' right away. We decided to relax and wait a few months because we're looking to buy a bigger house this summer, and I wanted to 'enjoy' a nice back yard of BBQing and entertaining! I'm a teacher so I'm off all summer. Well, as soon as we said that it happened! We have our first u/s on Monday 3/10 and I haven't told anyone yet. My family has been asking where the hell I've been b/c I've been staying away. I know if I turn down a glass of wine and a cigarette in their presence they WILL know! Just a few more days and we will share the great news. This will be the first grandchild for my parents and my mom is going to go NUTS! So I want to make it extra special. I have been nervous because I haven't had any m/s..but I should be happy about that right now! Happy pregnancy to everyone!!

7 Weeks!

We had our first doctor's visit today. I was told I was getting an u/s but thats next week. I had a full exam and the doc said I'm 7 weeks and all looks well. I had blood work done and a bunch of tests. I really wanted that 'picture' to confirm it all but I guess a doctor's ok is just as good! We're going to tell out families now...just trying to think of a creative way! Feels like there's so much to do....but also tons of time to do it!!

7 1/2 Weeks!

Well we told our familes yesterday. I sent a "Happy Easter Grandma & Grandpa" card and "Happy Easter Aunt" to my two sisters. They couldn't believe it! And they couldn't believe that I kept it in so long! We also called his family and told them. Everyone is ecstatic. Of course now as soon as I feel a twinge in my stomach I get worried, but I just hope everything is ok!

8 Weeks!

Well, 3 weeks ago, in week 5, I was a bit upset and worried because I was not having any morning sickness....WELL now it's here. Not so much m/s, but I'm nauseous most of the day. Maybe since it came late it will leave early?? Wishful thinking!! Going for our first u/s Thursday so hopefully I will post a pic!

9 1/2 Weeks!

So I had my 2nd doctor's appt. and they pushed me ahead almost a whole week! I was very excited because I've heard so many people get pushed back. I also had my first u/s, as you can see with my pic. It was a 'transvaginal' u/s, not the most comfortable thing in the world, but worth it b/c we got a pic and the tech said the baby's heartbeat was nice and strong 152 bpm. My next appt. is the 17th of April which will put me at 13 weeks and out of trimester number 1!!!! Good luck everyone!!

16 Weeks!

It's been awhile! Well I've felt 100% better then I did early on. I still fell a little sick sometimes, but I just have to watch what I eat. I have to eat small meals or else.. I have another appointment in a week and then I think I schedule my 20 week u/s. I am soooo ready to find out what I'm having! Sometimes I think I can feel the baby, but other times I think I'm just imagining things. Who knows...I guess I'll really feel him/her soon! Well be well all my pregnant friends, and happy pregnancy to everyone!!

IT'S A BOY!!!

20 Weeks 6 days..

I had my ultrasound today and found out we're having a boy!! It was going very fast at first, and he was positioning just right for all the measurements that were needed, until the end! We were in there about an hour, and boy was my stomach sore from the tech pushing it in! He was giving her trouble after being soooo good! I posted some pics. Our Dr.'s office sells CD's of the u/s for $50 so we purchased one. I have 71 still shots. Half of them I'm not sure what they are of, and some aren't any fun to look at... like the kidneys and the stomach, but I posted a few cute ones. Be well my pregnant friends!!!
