11-5-2009 - First Mother\'s Day

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Ok, So with Mother's day being yesterday I was excited all day Friday to get off work and go home to hubby and RJ.... Well, when I got to my mom and dad's house I noticed I had a text message from my brother and it read.. "Did you get a text from dad? WTF?" So I get out of that message to see a message from my dad and it said.. "I rented an apartment and have spent all day cleaning it, I would like the boys to help me move tomorrow and if you girls would watch the kids I would appreciate it"

Hello, my parents have been married for almost 35 years, and NONE of us saw this coming!! My jaw hit the floor and my heart broke at the same time. I don't think that it matters how old you are when you get this kind of news it still hurts. My heart broke for my mother, I couldn't ever imagine my husband coming home and telling me he was moving out and oh yeah I have a girlfriend on the side!!??!!

I love my father and not mad at him for doing this as he was unhappy, they both really were. But on Mother's Day weekend and then to tell your family that your having an affair and leaving your mother for her. WOW. That makes me ANGRY, and to know that Mother's Day will now always be remembered for the day my parents split sucks.

I hope all you lovely ladies had a better Mother's Day than I did. All of my mother's kids rallied around her though to let her know that everything would get better day by day and that we were there for her and that is the most important thing for her. Please keep her in your prayers so she can get through this.
