15-8-2009 - My little 1 yr old

Well ladies, my little man turned 1 today. I can't believe that he has grown and learned so much in the this short time. From walking to pretty much running, and saying a few words, and kisses (oh how I love the open mouth slobbery kiss from him!), climbing like nobody's business and so much more. This year has been a year of ups and downs. If you would have told me 7 months ago I would still be nursing my baby boy I would have laughed in your face. I have struggled with pumping from the time I went back to work until the day I stopped pumping all together. We had to use formula at daycare as I only gave him enough for 1 maybe 2 bottles of 4 oz for a 12 hour day. We put him on cow's milk a few weeks ago and he is doing great. He still gets 1 nursing from me at night time. I am TORN as to keep nursing him for this feed and let him decide when he wants it or not or to just stop this nursing and go back on the pill. To all you ladies reading this who have struggled or are struggling, I am here as proof to show you can do it. Don't give up, nursing has been the most rewarding thing I have EVER done in my life, well outside of creating the handsome little man.

Congrats Kelbler. I am so glad you made it to the one year mark. I wish I could say the same but I gave it 7 months of my best! I do miss nursing and just started back on Yaz. I am so proud of you!
