My mood while writing this blog: Relaxing |
We just got home from spending the weekend at Ron's parents in the North Carolina mountains and I am now lying on the couch in my pajamas with a blanket over me. It feels so wonderful! We had a good time. Usually when we're there we want to run around everywhere but this time we all just wanted to take it easy so it was nice and quiet. We cooked and stayed in and watched TV and it was great. For some reason Buck is always sick or becomes sick when we're there and this was no exception. He came down with a low grade fever last night and still has it today. It's obvious he doesn't fell well but he's not really having any other symptoms so I'm hoping it's nothing serious. I'm just giving him Tylenol every 4 hours and it seems to be helping. I felt pretty good all weekend but something weird did happen last night. We were making chili for dinner and it had been slow-cooking all day. It smelled good and I was really looking forward to it, but when the time came to eat I looked at the chili and suddenly there was no way I could eat it. I got really queasy and had to go sit by myself in the basement for a few minutes. It passed and then I ended up scarfing down McDonald's and felt good again after that! We eat so bad when we're there. I took this whole week off from work so I could take care of some things and also get away from that stressful environment for a few days so I'm really happy about that. Most of the time I really hate my job so I need the break. Well I guess I will go tend to the little guy. It's almost time for his next dose.

Monday, 26 Jan Sounds like you are doing good and getting some needed relaxation. I still can't imagine being pregnant again but having my 16 month old to take care of too! I'm sure little Buck is just getting more and more active. I always found it strange that I could feel nauseous, but if I found something I could stomach, the nausea would go away. McDonald's always worked for me too. I just was mostly repulsed by healthy things like broccoli and chicken. I meant well- just couldn't do it. Will be trying I guess in a few days- little scary for some reason...what if it happens soon, what if it doesn't? ahhh. Hope you continue to feel well-enyoy your time off!
