06-2-2009 - Getting ready to party

My mood while writing this blog: Excited

Buck's first birthday party is tomorrow and I can't wait, I'm so excited! Looks like there will be about 20 people there between the 2 families. Ron and I got him a new high chair (the new baby will share). I told anyone who asked what he wanted to get him spring clothes and shoes. He has mastered walking over the course of the week so everyone will get to see him toddling around. The party doesn't really have a theme. It's all over the place. The decorations are Star Wars and he has an Incredible Hulk cake and we wrapped his gifts in Spider-man wrapping paper. I ordered a party tray with croissant sandwiches and another one with shrimp and went to pick them up tonight. They look really good. We'll have some other awesome food there too. Anyway I think it's going to be great fun, as long as the guest of honor is in good spirits.

I haven't really had much time to dwell on the pregnancy lately. I'm getting antsy for my first prenatal appointment because I think then I will feel like things are happening. Yesterday I felt so awful. I had a pounding headache and all the Tylenol in the world was not going to help, and I was so sick feeling, every smell and the thought of just about any food was making me gag. Today I have felt much better but I have had a few days like that now. I feel huge. I have such a belly left from the last pregnancy so I'm not showing, and if I've gained weight it's just a few pounds, but I feel like I've gained 20. I feel SOOOO unattractive. I hope that will change as things move along. My appointment is Tuesday so I'll write after.
