So ladies I have some news. My baby's father (Malcolm) proposed to me on St. Patrick's day. It was very beautiful & perfect the way he pulled it off. After he asked me I looked down at my belly & said "So Max, should we marry daddy?" I wish I could say he kicked at that moment but he didn't. LOL Anyway, I said yes. It has been a very rocky road to get to this point though. As you may know, it was not that long ago that we thought we weren't going to make it. We did a lot of soul searching & we were very honest with each other. Some very painful things were exposed but through it all we realized we really do love each other. Right now I think I am about the happiest I have ever been. Yes, I'm scared..... nothing is promised tomorrow. But I believe that this too is part of God's plan for us. Soooo, now the anxiety kicks in! He wants to get married on Mother's Day. Which I think we be very appropriate since I will be 8 months pregnant! But it's also very soon. It will be very intimate & casual. We are thinking of a spot on the cliffs of Laguna Beach overlooking the ocean. Bottom line is it has to be cheap. This is very sudden & we have been buying baby stuff like crazy, so we are basically broke! I'm trying not to stress out, he tells me he will handle everything. But come on now, what woman isn't going to want a say in their wedding? I just have to remember that this is about celebrating our love & a new life. Not about what other people think. So needless to say, these last couple months will be very busy for me. Luckily I have you guys to give me support & brighten my day. Even though we don't really know each other I am thankful we can share parts of our lives with each other.

Well you know what they say; "The average bride spends 2,000 hours planning her wedding, the average groom spends 2,000 hours saying 'yeah, that sounds nice." If you got a man who wants to take care of the plans, consider yourself lucky! Congratulations, I know you guys will be just fine.

Congratulations on your engagement. I think you are absolutely right about God's plan for you and your life. God loves you and wants his childern to be happy so embrase it. I think the idea of an intimate wedding overlooking the ocean is going to be so beautiful and so special. And you are right, it is about the two of you and the love you share and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Although, I think ... it will be wonderful. Always keep you faith and let God handle everything else, release your fears and anxieties. Congrats!

Congrates, that is so sweet, my hubby and I got engaged in May of 2003 when I was 2 mths pregnant and we married in Aug 2003 when i was 5 mths pregnant. ANd it was a nice , simple , ceramony but I wore a wedding dress and he wore a tux, flower girl ect. but nothing major. All in all, dress, hall, tux, food it cost about 5,000. But it was worth it and we are still together married 6 years in Aug. Is it hard? Yes! Is it worth it in the end to be married to your best friend that always understands you? Yes! I hope you guys are as happy as we are. Good luck.

Congrats hun! Seems like everyone around me is being surprised with things lol. My mom got an emerald ring from Kay Jewelers from her finacee just because he wanted to buy it and because he loves her. Her ring is an emerald in a heart with 2 diamonds on either side and it is a gold band. But anyway Congrats on the egagement. I wish the 2 of u the best. I would do the small wedding with just family and a few close friends.

Congrats! I say go for the small, intimate wedding. You won't regret it. We did it this way, because we did not want the circus that his family would turn the wedding into. To this day I am thankful it was just us and 3 other people. Glad to see you guys are going into this honestly, that it is the biggest factor in a successful marriage.
