19-6-2008 - 6/19/08: Dr. appt. number 1

My mood while writing this blog: stuffed

Because of what happened with our last pregnancy we were having a difficult time choosing a Doctor for this pregnancy... We decided to go with the specialist that we met with who really helped us through our last nightmare.... The pros with this Doctor is that he knows our history well and we both like him a lot... The cons however are that I prefer a women Doctor and that this doctor is located downtown Cleveland (which is slightly hard to get to) Overall, given our history, I think we are going to stay with this doctor......

Everything went great at the appointment and I even got to have an ultrasound! The tech found the baby very fast (he/she looks like a grain of rice) and saw the heart beat... I even got to hear it (I didn't think you could hear it this early)... It was 119 beats/min (I hope that doesn't mean it's a boy; I secretly want a girl).... I have another appointment in 2 weeks...

Everything was perfect until the drive home when my tire literally blew up on the highway (half a mile away from the next exit)... Luckily a good samaritan pulled over and helped this dumb blond change her tire.... Maybe someday, I'll learn how to do that myself.....
