Ok

Saturday November 1, 2008

Thank God the stress is over!!! My wedding was small but beautiful, short but very sweet. I am glad it is over but I miss it too. Some memories that stick out in my mind include: seeing the reaction when my bridesmaids walked out to Metalicca's "Nothing Else Matters", being barefoot practically the whole day, my photographer making us feel at home, the excellent meal, getting to sit and talk with everyone. Would I do it again? Maybe not for a wedding, but I would love to have a party on that scale again...perhaps for our anniversary?

One of the biggest things I will never forget is my best friend Jennifer delivering on my wedding day. I will never forget how blessed I was to share that milestone with her! Her baby is so cute and more perfect than I could have imagined.

I am hoping that this co-incidence means that I will be simularly blessed soon. Two days ago I finished a round of progesterone. Yesterday I had heavy cramps and a headache but nothing (yet) today. Not sure what that means but being newly weds, we have bd's A LOT the past three weeks. Hoping for the best! *fingers crossed*

Bonjour Auntie Flo, you arrived sooner than I expected! Time for a glass of wine!

Sunday November 15, 2008

I should have updated earlier. I had barely finished typing the update above when Aunt Flo packed her bags and left (maybe she didn't like my wine?). She was here about 12 hours and very, very light. It has NEVER been like that! Before she came and after she left, I had/have had killer cramps and exhaustion. Not sure if that means that my "real" period is still on the way or what!

If I had a "regular" cycle (and the spotting was my period) , I would be ovulating on Wednesday. Fingers crosssed and happy BD!!!

Tuesday November 17, 2008

So I took a HPT. Not sure why. I guess I was just hoping that the spotting was implantation. I just really want a baby!!! Will have to make another apt with my dreaded GYN t0 see what's up and get some other meds.

I have to stay positive. If the "pregnant man" can have TWO babies than I can at least have one, right?

Tuesday December 9, 2008

I made a doctor's apt for Friday. My regular family doctor. I'm going to ask to get my hormones tested again and to see what my options are. I'm tired of this shit. I want to get things rolling before I find it it's too late.

Saturday December 13, 2008

My doctor's appointment went well. She agreed to re-test my hormones and check all of my levels. She is also making me an appointment with a fertility clinic literally minutes away from my house. I had previously seen them advertised online and thought they would be a good option, but I just let her pick them without and outside input from me. My fingers are crossed that I get an appointment soon!

Yesterday, after the appointment, I spent the day with my best friend Jen and her 2 month old son Braidy. I've always loved spending time with her and am glad that after ten plus years we are still in each other's lives. I am very proud of her and I hope that *soon* I can become a mother like her as well as the same kind of Mother. Braidy is a lucky guy! And I'm also very lucky to have such a good friend and role model.

Today my doctor finally sent the requisition to the fertility clinic. I had to call and bug the nurse to do it, but at least now they have it. I read on their website that they make you fill out a survey on your medical health and fax it in so I did that today as well. It was odd seeing all that information spelled out in black and white. Also odd being referred to as my married name!!! That will still take a while to get used to I bet. I am though starting to get used to the gym and building my stamina. But anything that improves my health is a good thing!

We had a great Christmas. Small and spent with our families. Wouldn't it be nice if next year our holidays were shared by our newborn son or daughter?

Happy 2009 to everyone, hopefully this will be the year all of our dreams come true!
