| 06-3-2009 - The Big but no so big ultrasound... | My mood while writing this blog:Was irritated but now confused... |
Then, after I got in, all the cable wiring was redone the night before and she couldn't get the tv working so I wouldn't be able to see my ultrasound or get the dvd. She said it would be like the "old days" and she'd show me afterwards. I told her my concern with not being able to feel the baby kick even though I know it's early and she found out the reason why I can't feel the baby is because the placenta positioned itself between the baby and me creating a cushion. They said I probably won't feel the baby till another month.
After a couple minutes, the ultrasound technician looked a little stressed and it was because the placenta was in the way and she couldn't get the medical shots she needed. Everything was blurry! So we'd reschedule for the prenatal place next door where they have a stronger ultrasound machine. For the sex...she couldn't tell. There was no penis to be seen but we all know no penis doesn't mean its a girl. So we'll see next time.
The good news...my AFP test was negative and all tests returned back normal. Also, the baby has a normal BPM of 140 and seemed fine in the uterus. So, that's all I could hope for!
