03-9-2009 - Thanks for your concern

My mood while writing this blog: tired.

After a long and grueling evening I finally gave in and called my OB. My husband was in full panic mode packing up our van with my bag, his bag, the diaper bag, making sure the camara was packed and well almost forgetting me. When we arrived at my doctors office within a matter of minutes they had me hooked up to the U/S machine. Checking his heart rate, kidney, stomach, breathing, all his body parts, searching for signs of distress, making sure his cord was in a safe place, and then finally checking my amniotic fluid levels. Good news he looks wonderful. Infact we got to see his little hand so clearly that I could even see his knuckles and finger nails. YAY. Which by the way he was using to explore his little man parts. Hehe, guess all of them are curious.

After which they sent us down the hall to be seen by the doctor. She was so calm with me telling me all the diffrent things that could have happened. Some how it looks like I lost part of my fluid but my water did not break completely. She said there must be a small tear or pin hole in the plecenta. My fluid levels are at 11. Which is low but not so low that they feel like I need to be induced. She did my internal and found that my cervix is thin and soft but still no dialation. However there is a lot of mucus draining and dialation will probably come quick when it comes. She said that this was all a great sign because I could go home, rest, and wait it out. She said it depends on how stuborn he is but most likely he'll come with in the week. However she did say not to hold her to that because if she could predict that for sure she would be a millionaire. So for now, no more intamacy with my hunny (unless I really want him out now) Which made me laugh cause as much as I want him out I really want him here when he's ready. So anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for your concern. I think I would have pushed it off till my next appt since I was a little imbarrassed by what started the hole issue. I am really glad I listened and got to see my son and know for sure he is ok.
