Christmas Sales

As an avid Holiday shopper I thought this year would have out of this world sales. I started picking up small gifts here and there through out the year. Things I was sure wouldn't be on the sales floor for Christmas. Two days before black friday I saw what my daughter really wanted. A tag Ariel reading system including two books. Sales priced at $38. I said to myself. Wow if that's how low they will go before Thanksgiving imagine how much lower they will go after. Well so far it's stayed at regular price. $54 big ones. Now I don't know about the rest of you but this year we are doing Christmas on a budget. And we weren't looking to spend that much on just one present. Our kids are young so its more the quantity then quality. Any how I just don't get it. Anything I bought prior to black friday I got great deals for. An $80 easel for $14.99. A Kawosoki professional keyboard origanally priced at $124.99 I got for $28.98. Now I am lucky if I can find a store whose prices are any where close to resonable. Sometimes I think that maybe it's just me but then I remember all of you ladies must be experiencing the same thing right? Instead of fulfilling our kids wish list this year it's more like we're filling Santa's helpers pockets with the cash for Christmas dinner. I hope you are all having better luck at filling your childrens wish list then we are. Only 17 shopping days left. Good luck!

and adding to kingsmommy shopping online avoids the craziness at the shops! i went yesterday 4 kids in tow, over 30mins stalking people to get a park (in the pouring rain), forgot the extra seat for my pram so i had 3 on foot, which meant 3 different directions i had to chase children hyped up with the amount of toys to fondle with. needless to say 4hrs later, after only getting 1 gift (which is kane's b'day present which is in 2 days) and nothing for xmas at all, i left empty hearted and exhausted mentally and physically from the experience. i got home and said to hubby, we're buying everything online so i don't have to do that again!!!! i'd go without the kids at night, but hubby has just been given his 2nd job he's in charge of (which is a huge deal!) and will be working 6am - 9pm everyday for the next 2 weeks! yay. we have no food in the house simply because i haven't been able to go shopping without kids. i need octupus arms, 1 trolley for the kids to restrain them, and 1 trolley for the food!
