Icky Little Bugs
Ok so I don't know for sure where that got it. Whether it was at school before they went on Holiday or when we travel back home to visit my family, or maybe even from another girl at girl scouts but both of my girls have/had Lice. Yuck. First of all I remember the terror of having them when I was a child. Itching so much and it took weeks of that nasty shampoo to get them out. And only after getting a drastic hair cut and one last shampoo did it actually work. That reched little comb that rips your scalp and seperates every individual strand. I wanted to cry so bad when I realized they both had them. I spent the majority of my afternoon shampooing, rinsing, gelling, and combing their hair. Isabell (age 8) Was a trooper. She went first and kept reassuring her sister it wasn't that bad and actually felt like going to the saloon. Madison (age 5) Screamed for almost the entire hour and a half it took me to do her hair. Poor girl, her hair is like mine, she has naturally curly hair. I wish I could have made it less painful for her. I hate seeing her like that. Then when they were done I broke down and did my own. Unfortunately my fears were confirmed and yes at 30 I have them too. Those horrid little bigs had found their way into my hair. So now my children are sleeping on the sofa bed as I disinfect their beds, blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, furniture, clothing. Pretty much anything in our home with fabric. And to top it all off when my hubby comes home from work I am going to have to do his head too. And he is going to have to shave his face clean. Something he hasn't done in 4 years. This is the most caotic thing I have ever experienced. In a week we have to recheck and re-shampoo. Unfortunately for me that also means I am most likely going to have to have my hair chopped off. Well atleast a good 6 - 8 inches. Hopefully this all works and I can get them out before they get the baby.
