06-3-2009 - Skinny People Kinda ShockedMy mood while writing this blog:
Kinda Shocked

OK, let me first start off by saying, we all want to be thin, I get it. I'm fine with what I have and yeah, I'd like to tweak a few things, who doesn't? BUT, I just keep noticing how the REALLY SKINNY Girls get all the comments on their pics. That's great, whatever. The thing that gets me is everyone is basically saying good for you, your so skinny, you look great. Are we not the woman who are instilling these values into our daughters in which we hold in our wombs? I'm kind of shocked. Is it that even mothers are sucked into this unrealistic value system that is totally unimportant and unattainable by most? We need to smarten up. The time is now unless you want a daughter or son that may never be truly happy with them self. Someone with an eating disorder to look like the lucky girl down the street. We need to watch what we say in front of our children. We need to be very aware that the same sex parent is the most influencial on that child. Everything we say and do will be valued and mocked. It's time to appreciate what we have and stop placing people on a skinny pedestal. Value your lost 6 pack. Love those stretch marks. Know that we ALL have cellulite and If you don't you can kiss my big round ass. :) I'm just kidding, kinda. Lol

Disclaimer: I have really skinny friends and I love them and their bodies. I love my body. I love what God wanted me to have. I'm not jealous. I'm worried about the future of our country. I'm totally worried about what beautiful will be when my 2 year old is 20 or even 15.

Now, I'm going to go and eat a ho-ho then work my ass off! Talk to you all later
!

Ive thought the same thing at times...As if "you look fabulous" is the same as "youre thin". What I DO appreciate is looking at the bellies section and seeing women who arent looking their best getting lots of encouraging comments. For the most part though, I also worry about people directly associating looking good with being skinny. Great blog.
