18-11-2009 - Loestrin® 24 birth control pill

After my 6 weeks doctor visit, she put me on loestrin birth control. My bleeding lasted for 4 weeks before taking the pill and stayed off for about 2 weeks. After I started taking the pill, the bleeding started again. The first couple of days it was light and then all of a sudden my period stayed kind of heavy until I said enough of this and stop taking it completely. I have never taking birth control in my life up until now and the reason why I started taking it is to prevent getting pregnant, but I could not stand the fact that I have to bleed until my body gets used to this stuff. Plus I am almost forgetting to take them due to caring for my son. Since I been off the pill, my period has lighting up but I lost 6 pounds in one day and my blood pressure has jump up 148/76. I don't know whats going on with my body but I will be making a personal visit to my doctor tomorrow. She wants to see the baby so that will give me an excuse to go. What do you guys think of the situation? Oh yeah I think the bleeding lasted 2 to 3 weeks with the pill...is this normal?
