16-12-2009 - 38 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: happy but tired

Hello to all you lovely ladies,
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the build up to christmas.
Sorry I have been so slack at posting stuff this pregnancy but it is alot busier this time getting ready to be a Mum to 2. Also we are building a house so that to has been time consuming. I have been a legend over the last week, cooking up a storm for christmas, installing insulation on the building site and even changing a flat tire......the things we do when we have too.
This pregnancy has gone really well. I still have morning sickness about once a week but thats not to bad. I am also carring ahead but figure that as Toby was 56cm long this baby to is probably going to be long so it doesn't surprise me. The midwife says that this baby is lying on my right side and isn't engaged at all as of yet. Trying to move baby now as I don't really want another 26 hour labour, half of that would be good.

I am just getting really tired now and am having more trouble sleeping. My hips are sore and I can't stand for long periods of time anymore but I know that I am due in 14 days so am managing to suck it up and deal with it, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Toby still has a good day nap so I have a lye down or sleep most days.

I posted a pick of me at 38 weeks looking like the back end of a bus, however I dion't think I'm carrying as big as I did with Toby.

Hi, my first was 56cm long as well and I became quite big toward the end, we breed nice big outdoor kids here in NZ lol. My husband is Dutch and is just over 6 ft 5" ( a shorty in holland) so this helps for a big baby too. We are not building but finishing renovations to our house always something big going on when baby is due huh? All the best to you over the next couple of weeks, indulge in all the yummy food and family attention and get some swims in if its warm enough.
