16-3-2009 - 36 week update

My mood while writing this blog: just waiting

Hi ladies.... Well today was my 36 week appointment. Nothing new to report on that, oh I got the results from my strep b test.....it came back negative, nothing to worry about though. I actually told my doctor last week that it would prob come back neg, so when she told me I wasn't to shocked. The baby is doing just fine, moving and kicking, heartbeat was very strong today, measuring right where I should be. After my appointment I took a stroll down to the labor and delivery floor just to check it out. I didn't know how I felt, it just felt like another floor in a hospital to me....so now at least I'll know what to look forward to I guess.

My doc is pretty amazed that nothing is happening with me though. I'm not or haven't had any type of BH contractions.....no back pain, very very mild swelling, not alot of weight gain through out.....still sitten at only 16lbs total, which I'm totally good with because that means it's all baby and water...woo hoo!!!! So I am starting to think or I'm convincing myself that my little monkey is just gonna hang out as long as possible. Don't get me wrong I'm still doing my daily countdown, 28 and counting, but I'm starting to think I'm gonna go the whole 40 weeks.

I do know I'm pretty much done being pregnant. You all know what I'm talking about. Hearburn, restless nights, moodiness,laziness, the non stop kicking.....on a side note, have any of you noticed that your little ones do alot of kicking and moving when you finally find a comfortable position to either sleep or sit? I noticed last week that mine turns into a jumping monkey when I lay down at night.

So next week I'll update you all again....hopefully something new will happen. But until then hope everything is well for all of you mommies and mommies to be.
