29-6-2009 - Just Waiting on you.....

My mood while writing this blog: Really, Really Ready now!

So, I had my shower on Saturday at almost 38 weeks! My little guy is still comfortably waiting in my belly, so now he is all set to arrive. It was really great. I was pretty sure that it was going to be Saturday because everyone is going to be gone for the 4th of July weekend and the next weekend is only days before the little man is due.

My DH asked if I wanted to go to Home Depot with him and I said yes because we had to pick out some flooring for the apartment that we have new tenants moving into (everyone knows that guys cannot be trusted with that type of stuff!!!!). So off we went and then he wanted to run all kinds of other errands, which is not like him at all! While we were out his phone was beeping and honking and making all kinds of crazy noises from calls and voice mails and text messages, which is also strange, but his brother and best friend have been having "some issues" so that was his excuse.

Turns out, while we were at our local Warehouse store (you know the kind that if you are a member you can buy HUGE boxes of everything, so we were getting diapers) his sister and mother were also there walking around getting a cake and big veggie platter thing. I didn't see them but I guess we drove right by them on our way in. This wouldn't have been an issue except his sister was here in NH from NY and I would have found it very strange that nobody told me that had I seen them! My mother had kept my daughter overnight on Friday night (which was strange, because there was no reason for it, she just asked). Turns out they were getting everything ready. So that was nice for her to have such a big part in it.

Anyway, when we got back to our house (which I hadn't really picked up at all....wasn't expecting company!) everyone was there! My mom was nice enough to tell me that she vaccumed ;o). Thanks mom!

We got most of the things that we needed and yes, we got the whole travel system, so now the little guy is all set to come home in style! We were also given several gift cards, so yesterday I went out and bought anything extra that we needed. I feel so much better and actually slept pretty well last night. Now the wait is on. DH, put everything together and I washed all the little clothes, blankets, towels, washclothes and every tiny little sock! Oh, and yesterday when my girlfriend and I spend the entire day getting all of the extras, we found the perfect coming home outfit (it has a monkey on the butt!). So that is lined up to be washed tonight and packed away.
