09-9-2008 - 3 months

My mood while writing this blog: stressed

so on september 6th riley turned 3 months. i cant believe it! its suppose to be the magic month for colic so we'll see. she still cries a ton. i've found a couple ways to calm her down but only for a little bit. then its back to crying.

she's accomplished so much in the past month! she absolutly loves to read spot and her princess taggy book. it always stops her from crying. she really acts like shes reading too! she also loves grabbing things now. we put stuff in front of her and shell try to grab it and put it in her mouth. thats another thing. she loves to eat things! her hands are her favorite. we caught her sucking her thumb in her crib the other day! her favorite toy is her oball. its way too big to go in her mouth at all so she sticks her tongue through the holes. she finally held her head up! we knew she could all along because she can sit up so well, which is another thing she did for the first time. i sat her up for the heck of it to see what would happen and she just stayed there for about 10 seconds. i was so proud of her! she still continues to coo at us. she is afraid of strangers too. its cute because she gives the biggest pouty lip then buries her head in my chest. shes still a 12-13 hour sleeper every night. we put her down at 7:30 or 8 and we wake her up at 8:30. shes on a feeding schedule of 8:30am, 11:30, 2:30, 5:30, then 8:00 bottle. she eats 6oz. shes such a champ! i love her sooo much!!

i also went back to work this month then decided i couldnt do it so i basically only went for two weeks then decided to go on leave til november. we put riley with a lady who runs an in home daycare. she was nice but i just missed her too much!!
