22-7-2009 - New Pics/Advice Happy/TiredMy mood while writing this blog:
Happy/Tired

Finally got pics up of Beni..still don't have birth story posted but I will soon! I am so in love with this girl, motherhood is so rewarding! I never imagined just how great it would be. Need advice on how to get her to sleep in at least the bassinet. I know it's only been one week but she doesn't sleep at night unless we hold her in bed, which is what I wanted to avoid! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated b/c I'm one tired girl! It scares me to sleep if I'm holding her in bed so b/c thats the only way she will sleep, mom here isn't getting any! Thanks guys!

My advice would be...Try to put her in it often, during daytime napping and awake time too. At night when she wakes up and is crying, pick her up and calm her, but put her back after she settles and starts to go back to sleep....thats what I did. Now I put him in his crib during daytime naps often to get him used to that too. (he's 4 weeks by the way)

I am not sure how to get her to sleep by herself but for myself I am going to use one of the baby carriers (that you wear in the front like a back pack) didnt know how else to explain it, so I don't have to worry about the baby falling or anything while I sleep. I will just have to sleep in the recliner with the baby. Hope this helps some if you try it.
