14-1-2009 - I KNEW IT!!!

My mood while writing this blog: Ehhh

Yesterday i took Cadence to her 2 month check up. I was so excited because finally i was going to get some answers as to why she has been crying all day everyday since week 4. I was also pretty happy that Cadence was going to be seen by a new doctor. The first thing she did was measure and weigh her. Shes 22.6 inches and weighs 11 lbs 1 oz. The doctor said that shes growing fine and what i'm feeding her is perfect. She also told me that if she wants to eat more to just give it to her. Then we got into the subject of why Cadence is so fussy. I told the doctor all the details and she immediately said shes colicky. I tried to get the doctor to consider that maybe she was teething and the doctor shot me down. She said that it was way to early for her to be teething. The doctor was convinced that Cadence was a colicky baby and that was it. She told me to hang in there for at least 2 more weeks and it should be gone. I kinda already knew that that was what was wrong with her but i just wanted to hear it from a doctor. In a way i feel better but in a way i just want these two weeks to fly. Its been a long month and i really hope that i can handle it for a little bit longer. Shes such a beautiful and happy baby when she isn't crying and i can't wait for longer happy times with her. I hate that she cries so much and that there is nothing mommy can do to make her feel better. After the doctor examined her she was given her shots. I feel terrible but her crying almost didn't faze me. The nurse kept telling me its worse on the parents, and although i did feel bad for her i am so used to hearing her cry like that all the time. Anyways, i just wanted to give everyone an update on little Cadence. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice while i was trying to figure out what was making her cry so much. Now we kno. TWO MORE WEEKS!!!..............hopefully............
