11-9-2009 - 3d/ 4d ultrasound

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

yesterday josh took off work so we could all go to our 3d/4d ultrasound. We picked up my mother in law and headed down to the boutique. We looked around while the sonographer set up the room. we signed in and funnily enough both the secretary and the sonographer remembered me from my 3d/4d last year with our first daughter. My mother, my sister and my almost 8 month old neice all showed up as well. We all got settled in as the licensed sonographer rubbed gel over my belly. The very first shot we saw was baby girl displaying her gender proudly to us all. Definitly a GIRL! We then saw her sweet face and We all think she looks so much like her big sister kaydence. She definitly is very laid back though. She had her feet and hands over her face at several points and even was sucking on them but we got her to move them pretty easily. She was opening her eyes, sticking her tongue out and even smiling. She was laying so her spine was to my right and her tummy to my left, with her head already down and her bottom up. She loves the new squaling, shreaking noises her sister makes as she kept smiling and moving. she only got upset with a clear frown when I pushed on her bottom to try to get her to move her foot out of her face. It was so wonderful to get to see her little face and feel like we are connnected with her even more. It was also nice to have the grandma's there and my sister and neice as well as my hubby and daughter. the sonographer went crazy with printing out pictures which I certainly didnt mind. she was delighted by our daughter kaydence and neice payton playing and talking together and giving each other hugs and made many references to them being so adorable. It was also nice for the sonographer to see them as she did 4d's for kaydence and payton as well and kaydence is even on her website. She told us that we need to make sure to get after photos of our new little girl and she will put her up as well with kaydence and her together as sisters on her site. I love that she knows what she is doing and we got some very clear pictures. After the ultrasound I chose a adorable light blue shirt for me and a pink blanket for the baby both made out of bamboo, oh my they are so soft. We took our dvd, cd picture disc and picture print outs and thanked everyone and left. We even get a full year subscription to a baby website for the baby. I was happy with the first 4d ultrasound we got last year for kaydence but I'm even happier with this one. We will continue to do this for all our babies and think it's a great opportunity to bond with your baby.
