29-5-2009 - creepy, crazy and now I\'m paranoid!

My mood while writing this blog: paranoid and scared!

Last night I was laying in bed asleep when I heard a knock on my window. I woke up and looked over got out of bed thinking my guy had lost his key or something.. so I said "be right there babe" and went to the front door.. (like a DUMB ASS I know) opened the door looked over to my window and looked the other way no one was there... so I thought man I'm hearing things. Went back into my bedroom and sat on my bed toward the window. Then I heard a man say "show me your pussy" (sorry for the crude words) and in my state of confusion and sleepyness I said "what?" then he said "show me your titts" I couldn't see outside because of the light in my room making it dark but I picked up my phone and ran into the living room where I called 911. They showed up eventually after damn near 30 minutes! and by then of course the pervert was gone.. well since I coudlnt explain to them what he looked like they told me they couldnt help me but if I needed them to call them back.... now I'm sitting here thinking whoever this freak was he knows that I obviously stay alone at night! I mean I live in the south in Tennessee and if you knocked on a window at 12am you'll be lucky to not have a gun in your face that's just how it is around here. This man knew I was alone and that if the blue car isnt in the driveway Brian isn't home... so tonight is going to come and I'm not happy about being here alone while brian works not to mention with my 2 boys asleep in their beds. I'm so paranoid he'll come back. How long has he been watching me? Does he watch me during the day from his house? Is it the guy across the street or the guy next door with his wife and 3 kids? these are the things I replay in my mind. I'm freaked out!!

Darling I feel for you. Goodness me - I would shit myself no dought. A gun would not be a great idea with the boys in the house, I think. But close up everything and arrange to have the patrol around a few nights - just to be sure. Try having your man swap shifts with someone - just for a week or so. Could you not install motion sensor beams in the house and garden that is activated at night? You can de-activate the rooms you busy in – and when you go to sleep it’s your room and the boys’ room that is not “armed”. This way anyone entering your garden or house – the alarm will go off. Either way it’s a good investment to have for you safety. Here in Africa we know all about locking up. I had guys in my house – while we were sleeping. Took stuff from next to my bed! (they burned stuff outside our window to ensure we slept through it). So we had a consultant out to upgrade our security and this is what we had installed. No-one can get to me without setting off an alarm that is linked to a security company. Good luck and – lock up all the time, not just at night. Its unfortunately now a way of life for many of us. OMG that's scary!! I would put the kids in your room and make sure all your curtains are closed. The big dog and big gun sound like a good idea too. Take care honey, and get some male friend or relative to sleep over when possible. The motion sensitive flood lights would also scare him x

If I were you I wold get a big dog....the boys wold probably love it! I wold get a gun and take a shooting class. Oh, my grandma has these flood lights that only come on with motion at night .She has them on all corners of her house. Please be careful...and try to keep your head.

If it happens again, don't turn on your light so that you can get some sort of description to the police. Also, sleep with the phone right next to you and if he comes back tonight, stay calm and still as if you didn't hear him, and dile 911. Quietly tell them what is going on and that it happend the night before as well and urge them to come as quickly as they can. Also sleep with some sort of protection, a bat, pepper spray, anything like that could buy you some time to get out should he try to enter. Remember that since you do live in the south, that it is just as likely that he could be armed. Just curious, did you have your window open? If so, close and lock it. If you feel more comfortable, you can also sleep in a different room. Also, Do not change your clothes in that room. But don't let this guy scare you out of your own house. If anything find a friend to stay with you for a few nights. You don't want to give the guy the satisfaction of knowing that you are scared because if you do that, then he has won. We studied the psyhology behind peeping toms in my cirminalogly class in college, This sounds like it may be just a prank but you shouldn't take it lightly. Most peeping toms are silent observers and would never let you know that they are there. Since this guy spoke directly to you, he broke the pattern that most follow. This could have many meanings so you should be aware and on guard no matter what.

oh my God Kyla. Is there anyone who can spend the night with you? that would totally creep me out too. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Did the cops know you were pregnant and alone w/ your two boys? I can't believe they took so long. Whenever my man goes away on buisness i have a knife in my pillow case w/ my hand on it. Maybe you could hang bells on your windows from the inside so that if someone tries to open then it makes a noise or something. all i have to say is i pray this was a one time thing and that you won't ever have to go through that again. My prayers are with you. Be safe.

I keep a sword behind the bed. i'm a loser. I swear there was someone on our roof a month back. I would for sure keep all windows locked, and doors. Do you have an extra car? Maybe have your guy take the other one, instead of the blue one. It will work for a bit at least. I feel for you hun!

WHOA!!!! that is nuts! I would call up your police folks and ask if they could patrol your neighorhood a couple times during the night. At least for tonight....holy crap.....that is scary! I would get a taser gun if I was you!

Oh My God! You must be terrified! You should arrange for someone to stay with you for a few days (without their car in the driveway) and see if this creep comes back... Then if he does, teach him a lesson, or else try and get a good description of the pervert so hopefully the polive will help you. Yikes! Take care
