| 12-10-2011 - -((23 weeks))- | My mood while writing this blog:yawwwn |
Well given that my last blog update was just over the 7 week mark, I thought it was due time that I make a new entry...On that note, things are great on my end. We found out that we are having a.....GIRL!!! We are absolutely thrilled in that regard as we were hoping for another girl. We have also settled on a first name; Parker. We have not quite decided with any degree of certainty what her middle name is going to be, Im hoping for something like Elizabeth; Mike isint sold on it though.
Parker is more and more active everyday and her movements are stronger by the day as well. It seems as if just a week or two ago I was only feeling the faintest of flutters and now Im feeling definative kicks and punches. The majority of the movement I feel is down towards my pubic area which leads me to believe that shes laying low in my pelvis (my uterus is above my navel by now, but Ive yet to feel movement in that region). She has a tendancy to be more active in th evenings but then again that is fairly common especially given that Im always on the go.
I see my obstetrician next on the 18th and I look forward to that appointment, it seems to be have been quite a while since Ive seen him, then again its only been about 6 weeks.
Heartburn is insanely crazy and nothing seems to relieve it. I wish I could say that Im used to it given that I had a tendency to experience acid reflux pre pregnancy but Im definately not. I can eat within 3-4 hours of laying down otherwise Im gearing up to spend a sleepless night practically choking on stomach acid. No exaggeration, I have literally woken up choking on stomach acid resulting in a coughing fit and me peeing in my bed :( Ive been diligent on taking my ranitidine and calcium acid reducers but they barely make a difference. Ive also developped mind numbing migarines which needless to say suck big time and are debilitating when you have a young child to take care of. Nothing seems to help them much, other than waiting it out which once again sucks big time. A few weeks ago I had a migraine for over a week and wound up being sent to the hospital by my family Dr. Long story short Stemitil via IV and it was gone, just like that. Oh! That is, after having waited 6 hours to been seen by a Dr. I wish I could take this miracle drug everytime I get a migraine but I was informed it was only effective if administered via IV and unfortunately I must go to the hospital to obtain IV medications and well I just dont have the time to waste at the hospital every other week. I have a child to care for, a household to upkeep, a part time job and part time school. So one again long story short Im just going to have to keep trying to be as functional as possible given these terrible migraines and all I can do is hope they are a byproduct of pregnancy....Shitty buzz I guess.
Well I guess thats all she wrote! Im absolutely pooped so I think Ima call it a night. Much love and thanks to all of you who took to the time to listen or should I say read my ramble.....
