| 27-4-2009 - 25 weeks 6 days! | My mood while writing this blog:Tired. |
So, just a day shy of 6 1/2 months in!!! Gosh I really starting to feel like Im making some progress...I had the privilege of witnessing my cousin give birth to a healthy baby boy yesterday....It was a mindblowing experience, I got to see every moment of it, which I definately appreciated considering Ill be doing the same "work" within the next 3 or so months! She was a trooper, she barely complained, and was a good sport throughout the whole thing. She Had a total labouring time of 17 hours which included 1.5 hours of active labour time (which was insanely quick!) It took her one push, litterally 15 seconds to get the baby through the birth canal and into this world, safe and sound! Matthew Sarac was born at 5:41 pm weighing in at 5lbs14oz, it was definately a magical experience, one might even say it was holy....I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to witness her give birth, it definately gave me confidence in the whole labouring process and the ease in which she gave birth definately reassured me that if she can do it, so can I!!! Other than that, not too much is new with me. I have an appointment with my obstetrician tomorrow which Im pretty excited for! Hopefully he'll scheduled my appointments closer together as I think Im going to mention something (8 weeks between appointments seems like a long time especially that Im almost in my third trimester).....Im looking forward to knowing my weight gain and to go over my birth plan with my obstetrician, to see if he thinks my wishes can be accomodated or if Im being unreasonable ( my birth plan is quite extensive and includes my wishes on inductions, pain medications, episiotomies....) Im definately looking forward!!! Other than that all has remained pretty much the same with me and Sydney, my heartburn is still bad and nothing seems to relieve it :( Ive tried tums, rolaids, whole milk, skim milk, eating smaller frequent meals....all without avail....On another note Sydney is more and more active everyday! I know Ive said it before, but it truly amazes me how her activity level increases everyday as does her strength ( her movements used to be a "flutter" and now they are distinct kicks and punches) its really amazing!!!! Anyways....what was supposedto be short blog has now become novel-esk!!! hehe....Till the next update! xoxo
