| 30-4-2009 - ::.26 week appointment.:: | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
So....not too much is new on my end....Had my 26 week appointment with my obstetrician on tuesday....All went relatively well...I got my admission papers for the hospital and got some useful information on the hospital Im having Sydney at, such as the location of labour and delivery triage, important numbers and the such...Dr Campbell was quite amused at how active Sydney is...everytime he placed the doppler on my belly she gave it a firm kick or punch (Im not sure as to which :P) and you could clearly hear her movements on the doppler which made it relatively hard to get clear heart sounds....We all had a good laugh....As for my weight...apparently I weigh in a 174 lbs which is definately slightly off! The nurse told me that apparently on my last appointment (the 3rd of march) 8 weeks prior I weighed in at 165lbs....Here is the discrepancy: On April 1st at my family doctor appointment I weighed in at 149lbs....which means that I would have had to lose 16 lbs between the 3rd of march and the 1st of april and subsequently gain 25 lbs between the 1st of april and the 28th of april....I mentioned that to the nurse but she seemed adament that the scale was indeed accurate.....Thing is on my scale at home I weigh in at 155 lbs making for a 19lbs discrepancy between my scale and the doctors ( I know all of this is slightly confusing...) So....my total weight gain is anywhere between 20lbs and 39lbs....Im looking forward to my next appointment with family doctor on the 13th of May to actually see if her scale is off....needless to say Im hoping my obstetricians scale is the one that off....hehe. Other than that confusing affaire not much is really new on my end....My next appointment with my obstetrician is on the 20th of May making for 3 weeks between appointment as opposed to the usual 8 weeks :D Im pretty happy about that...I love going to see my obstetrician....its so exciting getting to hear the babys heartbeat and hearing about the progress were making! Ive got my "glucose test" to do within the next week or two (my Dr left it up to me when I go...) Im looking forward to that.....Anyways that the gist of everything that going on with me and Sydney....Till the next blog!
