21-5-2009 - 29 week appointment....

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Had my 29 week appointment yesterday....All is well with both me and Sydney....Gained another 4 lbs since my last appointment ( 3 weeks ago)...Got to hear her heartbeat again which is always a special treat....It was good and strong! The doctor checked her position (cause I was curious and asked) and she is head down with her back along my left side....I cant help but wonder if at this point she could flip over or switch positions at will....It must be getting rather cramped in my belly....My next appointment is on July 9th (in 3 weeks) at which point I'll be scheduling an ultrasound appointment (my obstetricians nurse said he likes to do ultrasounds at or about 32 weeks) Im assuming its going to be to check the baby's position and how much she weighs....I hope shes gaining weight as she should....On another note....Ive decided when my baby shower will be...and the fateful date is June 28th....Ill be 35 weeks pregnant....I wonder if Im waiting too long to do it though.....2 weeks after my shower ill be 37 weeks pregnant and I could go into labour at any point after that....Anyways I hope Im giving myself enough time to get everything together before little miss Sydney arrives. Im starting to feel like things are getting down to the wire.....anywhere between 8 and 11 weeks my daughter should be arriving and Ive yet to complete her nursery...I have it entirely painted and most of my wall decorations have been purchased, the crib is set up and her closet organised although Ive yet to purchase a change table or dresser....Im a terrible procrastinator! Fingers crossed I dont find myself 35+ weeks pregnant, big like a whale, trying to finalise a nursery....What else?!? Ohhhh Ive decided that today I am going to try getting a "Mystic Tan" at Itan.....Pre-pregnancy I had a routine of tanning every second day and I had a gorgeous golden brown tan.....Since I cant tan during pregnancy Ive become pasty white (like insanely blanched) and Im starting to get tired of looking pasty and blotchy, so Im going to try a spray on today.....Hopefully I dont turn orange or Ill most definately be bummed.....At least if I do become of the orange variety, I dont have to work till Saturday morning so Ill be exfoliating galore...he!he! Anyways Im gonna try and find some time to take and post some 29 week belly pics today....Who knows maybe ill get some shots of an orange bump, but fingers crossed itll be golden brown :P Till the next update!!!!
