My mood while writing this blog: thrilled, blessed, elated

I had my baby shower today. And although I had been so scared that nobody would show, and it would be a bust, most people who RSVP'd came. I was so very happy to have it be a success! All of my aunts on the exception of one who lives at the other end of the country showed up and 4 out of 5 of my closest and oldest friends managed to make it out, one of which I hadnt seen for the better part of a year. Mike's mom was there also, it was so very nice for her to get to meet my entire family and get the opportunity to converse with them. Quite a few of my cousins came as well one of which was celebrating her birthday and actually took the time to come from beginning to end. I got so many lovely gifts and now Im completely set as far as baby stuff is concerned on the exception of a car seat which is ok considering my girlfriend gave me a 150$ gift certificate for Walmart so I could pick one out myself. I got plenty of diapers (one of my aunts even made a diaper cake), wipes, toilettries, a vibrating swing, nursing pads, bibs, 2 diaper genies, photo albums, what to expect the first year, and an insane amount of baby clothing all the way up to 24 months (I've actually run out of drawer/closet space :P) and so very much more. Mike even got a few gifts! I was really amazed at how much I received, I am truly blessed to have such wonderful generous friends/family in my life. The food was amazing and I must admit I ate like a pig! All in all it was amazing and a big weight has been lifted from my shoulders as now Im not worried about having everything I need or of going into labor before I had the shower (I was scared that I might have her before today as silly as it sounds as Im only at 34 weeks 5 days :P) Anyways I just wanted to update y'all on how it went. ::Cheers::
