30-6-2009 - 35 week oßstetrician appointment

My mood while writing this blog: Happy!

I had my 35 week obstetrician appointment this morning and all appears to be fine. Im measuring, once again, spot on. Sydney had remained head down and her heartbeat was good! As for me, my BP was excellent at exactly 120/80 so much so that my OB took it a second time to confirm and it was the same. I feel so blessed that all has gone well with this pregnancy up-to-date (knocks on wood!) Ive heard that elevated BP can be a pretty common problem during pregnancy. I didint get weighed which was fine by me, it usually depresses me anyway as Ive already gained a good 60lbs and my bikini bod has completely gone to shit (pardon my french :P) I adressed an issue that had been bothering me for the past few days with him. I had a bit of bleeding sunday overnight, nothing too significant but it definately made me slightly worried. And I think Ive begin to lose my mucous plug bit by bit although Im not completely sure as this is baby #1 for me. He sent me for an ultrasound which Im assuming went well and all was ok. The technologist could only tell a limited amount of information but from what she said my placenta and cervix appeared normal and the fluid measured at 13 which is average. Sydney now weighs in at approx. 5lbs 4oz! It was most definately nice to get to see her again. Mike unfortuantely couldnt be there so I made sure to get a photo so he could at least get another look at her! Apparently she has chubby cheeks, or at least thats what the technologist said. "Oh! Look at those chubby little cheeks! Shes going to have alot of people pinching at them when she comes out." Oh! and we picked out a middle name for Sydney and we settled on Evangeline....Me and Mike both like it, although most of my family isint very fond of it, but whatever! Me and Mike like it and it goes very well with Sydney and our last name so thats all that really matters! Anyways thats the gist of what is new with me! Till the next blog!
