| 14-7-2009 - 21 da¥s to go!!! | My mood while writing this blog:freakin\' excited! |
Not much is new on my end, I thought I had my 37 week appointment with obstetrician today, I arrived there this morning (bright and early) to find out that my appointment was actually scheduled for tomorrow. I was hoping that since I was already there my Dr. would see me but unknown to me, hes actually on vacation and doesnt return till tomorrow. Im not sure how I managed to get my dates screwed up, I had it written in my planner as being today (and my apps. have always been on tuesdays) Oh well I guess thats good ol' pregnant brain for ya. Im pretty sure the baby dropped into my pelvis this past week as I have been having lots of pelvic/rectal pressure, Ive been peeing a thousand times more frequently thn before and I seem to have an easier time breathing. I also think I might have started experiencing braxton hicks....Im not sure though, Ive been getting cramping (very mild) but it doesnt seem to be localised to my abdomen, its mostly in my lower back and a bit in my pelvis. I actually thought I might have been in the early stages of labor at one point today. I called the triage unit at L&D and they told me that at this point in my pregnancy I should be coming in if my water breaks or if Im having contractions every 5 minutes lasting a least a minute a piece for at least an hour, I felt kind of silly because it was clear that what I was experiencing was clearly not labor. Im just so confused about this whole labor thing and Im not sure what I should expect or be looking for, Im afraid I wont feel my contractions and subsequently wont go to the hospital when I should. Maybe its stupid but I dont know, I just cant help it...all of this is definately foreign territory to me. Other than that and the usual discomforts of pregnancy all is well with me and Sydney, now all I have to do is sit back and wait for her to make her grand entrance (hopefully within the next 21 days, going past due at this point would kill me (not litterally)!) Anyways take care y'all
