12-4-2008 - pregnancy update april 12th

My mood while writing this blog: ok (for now)

Hey All

Feeling good today actually. For the past week or so i have been extremely emotional, constantly crying or just having severe mood swings, but at this present moment i am quite ok.

On Saturday (a week ago) i had a severe migraine. i beared it for two days until i could do no longer. i went into L&D dept, and saw the doctor but they were so unhelpful, it wasted my time (four good hours of it). i reakon it was hormonal changes because i have also at this stage started to get spots on my face and chest, and my hands occassionally swell then go back down. it could be down to me not taking my iron tablets though. maybe the lack of oxygen made the migraine begin...that or stress. at the moment i am on 3 iron tablets a day!!! yea i know, even the pharmacist looked at me like i was on deaths door. i think they must have made a mistake, i must be having twins for how much iron this baby is absorbing.

Anyhoo...i am 37weeks on Tuesday and i am growing impatient everyday. I really want to meet her but i also just need my body and life back. my 36 week midwife appt was very strange. the midwide implied that she was extra big in size. and i know she is as i have to bear her weight and i either think it may be gestational diabetes or twins. my stomach is massive and has been since 30weeks. midwife said that her head is 4/5ths fully down into my pelvis (or something like that) so hopefully it should be too long now. its such an exciting stage though because a few people i have met on this site have already had their babies, so its like soon enough we will all begin to drop like flies. yay!

well thats all folks. nothing else to update until week 38 and my midwife appt. but i am hoping that i do not reach that far. she is practically full term now so now harm. anyway ladies, good luck or congratulations to you all wether trying, pregnant or mothers. until we meet again
