Soooooo, I drove to Chatham yesterday....turned out to be 2.5hour drive. (I guess GPS thought I'd be doing the speed limit) I picked up the unit, drove round the corner, and tried it on the side of the friggin road!!! LOL!!
It was very easy to pick up the heartbeat....just above pubic bone and to the right. The ocean-like whooshing sounds of the womb I found first, and slowly moved it round that area til I picked up the steady rhythm of my baby's heart. 169-175 seems to be where it's at. The unit has a great speaker and digital display to count the beats for ya. It was very loud and distinct! I LOVE IT!! My husband was so piqued too!! Of course it took longer to demonstrate to him....but I've got it down pat now. We don't plan to use it more than once a day generally....but it's very neat to share with your family and close friends.
LifeDop L250 is the model....selling on Ebay for $625! What a deal I got!
