My mood while writing this blog: fat |
Sooooooo....it would seem that my wt. gain is on the verge of out of control! I really don't think I am eating all that differently than before....mostly healthier choices, and more small meals rather than 1 large that just bloats me and makes me uncomfortable. Admittedly I have had some rather fattening cravings..ie nuts, fruits and cheese....but I really don't see how it accounts for 12lbs!! LOL
I am also most definately showing....sporting a bump that is obviously pregnancy vs. fat. Many of my clients have noticed and commented as well. Most of it is on my belly and boobs....but my hips and butt have filled out some as well. I laughingly tell myself that the pukers with M/S drive down the statistical findings regarding wt. gain the the first trimester....but I dunno????
Prior to my pregnancy I considered myself slim and athletic, with a reasonable 5-7 lbs that (as any girl does) I would have have liked to have seen OFF prior to getting pregnant. (5'9'' - 150lbs) I've never had a wt. problem, and with a high metabolism and physcial job....it wasn't that hard to stay slim.
Anybody else gaining more wt. than their food consumption would acct. for??
Should I be concerned?
The scale is freaking me out!!

Sunday, 28 Sep I know I am a little late commenting here, but its completely normal to be gaining weight even when you eat the same! I started around 120, gained 15 pounds in 13 weeks with the pregnancy I lost in december, and still had that weight on when I got pregnant this time, if February. I started this pregnancy at 135, and have gained a pound a week from the very start.
I eat healthy, exercised regularly up until a couple weeks ago (medical problems have me taking it a bit easier now), but its just how nature works!
Everybody is different, and some people just gain a bit more weight than others while pregnant! It will come off, once our babies are here, and our hormones level out! Pamela316 -
Sunday, 28 Sep I gained 10lb a month right from the start *k a lil less but close!* Im up 60lb right now and still have 9 weeks to go. Baby is measuring 4lb 1 oz with a head just over 30cm...3 weeks ahead of most at 30 weeks. I turned 31 weeks today and am worried this baby is gona be HUGE, I'm kinda hoping for an early arrival..I cant imagine a 9lb baby! Debra -
Tuesday, 16 Sep I wouldn't worry about it. The placenta and double blood volume is a lot in itself - i think if i remember 7 lbs. Just keep eating and drinking healthy and you will gain what you need to gain. Good news is if you can breastfeed you will be able to loose it pretty quick as well.
