My mood while writing this blog: wishing this was textbook |
8am NST = baby is good.... but despite ruptured membranes they have done something a little less than typical. Normally they don't " prostin gel" you when this happens (possible introduction of bacteria into uterus) but they have with me. OB consult suggested this....as it could very well be my hindwaters vs. headwaters have ruptured. (thus lowering risk....and perhaps explaining why she hasn't fully engaged. Stretch and sweep wasn't an option as they still can't reach the cervix....too high and posterior.....not being pushed down by the head.
*sigh* - cramps have reduced substantially and no longer leaking as much fluid.
So I've been sprung out of the hospital (thankfully 10 min. from my house) and have to go back at 4pm for Pitocin induction. It will more than likely be a long haul from that point....6-12 hours or more. My midwife is wagering on
early morning. *bigger sigh*
The wait is unbearable....the anxiety mounting...I need a nap.
Pics to follow I hope!!!
