30-9-2009 - 39w update

My mood while writing this blog: upset

Okay ladies, so here's my update.Yesterday I had my 39week appt.Thinking I was going to hear some good news about labor starting soon was a let down. The midwife checked me and I'm the same as last week. Nothing,still closed not even dilated a little bit.(my cervix is soft though)I just knew something was happening. I mean dang, I have been hurting and contracting and having the worst menstrual cramp feelings ever!Seems like my cervix isn't responding to them. I just knew I was having her sometime this week. My due date is Monday(10-5-09), so if I don't have her by this weekend(which I probably won't)she wants me to come in Next Thursday(10-8-09). Then she tells me if I still haven't made progress then she'll induce me on 10-12-09 or 10-14-09 which is the following week.So basically she's saying I have to be pregnant for another two weeks(41 1/2 weeks)!!!I wanted to cry so bad,I was in there fighting back tears. Don't get me wrong I love being pregnant and all, but I'm ready to meet my baby girl and I'm tired of hurting like this.If my due date is in a few days and she's healthy why not help me out a little? She's a midwife and they don't believe in inducing if this is your first baby. I promise I want my old Dr. back. He wouldn't make me wait that long. But hey what can I do? Nothing is working(walking, bouncing on birthing ball, sex).Can't do anything but wait on her.I keep feeling like I'm going to have to have a C-section which is my biggest fear!!!

Ughhhhhhhhhh.....

I'm so disappointed I don't know what to do!!
