May 25th ♥
After seeing the doctor on May 19th, and hearing that I would most likely have a difficult time trying to conceive until I lose weight, it weighed on my mind all day and all night. Today, though, I'm ready to begin my weight loss journey. Since I've struggled with weight my whole life, it's not going to be easy, but I'm determined. I joined FitDay.com to track calories and nutrition, which seems like a really useful tool.
May 30th ♥
Today I'm down 3 pounds since the 25th just by drinking pretty much only water, with some skim milk here and there throughout the day, and tracking my calories. I'm making sure not to go over 2,000 calories/day, with 2,300 on Sundays. I also found an elliptical on Craigslist that I'm picking up on Thursday. I'm SO excited to start exercising (something I never thought I'd say!). When I reach my first goal of 10 pounds, it's time for a celebration, and then on to the next 10!
June 11th ♥
I feel so great! I've completely changed the way I eat in the last 2 and a half weeks and I've been using my elliptical about 5 or 6 days/week. My best day was 11 miles in 34 minutes! I've lost 6.6 pounds so far, but the weight isn't the only thing that has changed. My skin is better, I feel more energized throughout the day, and I always feel satisfied as far as hunger goes. It's just awesome, and while I'm sad I waited so long to live this way, I'm glad that I finally do. I've almost reached my 1st 10 pound goal! Aaaannndd onward! :)
June 21st ♥
Only 4 more days until it's been one month since I changed my lifestyle! I love it! It's funny because now when I see a brownie or get offered a piece of cake, all I think to myself is something like 'there's no way that's worth it..' and it actually seems unappealing to me now. I never dreamed of not wanting a brownie! LOL! Anyway, I'm down 8.8 pounds, and I go 15 or 20 miles on the elliptical 5 days/week. It takes me just about an hour to go 15 miles. I just signed up with a personal trainer for a 10 week progressive strength training program. I don't know if any of you watch the Biggest Loser, but my personal trainer is Trent Patterson from season 5 (Trent/Roger). I don't watch it, so I didn't know who he was, but I definitely feel lucky that he happens to live in my hometown..and own a gym..lol. I'm so ready to reach my first 10 pound goal..and then my second, and third, etc...
July 2nd ♥
Today's a good day! I've finally hit my first 10 pound goal, and then some! I've lost 11.8 pounds as of this morning! I'm adjusting pretty well to my new lifestyle. Things I used to love are starting to taste soo sweet. Exercising is going well, too. I've been feeling pretty crappy this past week, so I haven't done as much as previous weeks, but I'm feeling better today, finally. I'm so excited to get to my next 10 pound goal! :)
August 10th ♥
It's been a while since I've updated here, but today is a very exciting day for me! This morning I'm down a total of 25 pounds lost! I feel so great. My clothes are feeling better, and some are getting too loose! I'm about 10 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Who knew I could ACTUALLY lose weight if I tried? I'm really having fun with it. It's funny to think about, but I've lost my daughter's worth of weight..it's just crazy to think about! My next goal is 40 pounds, so in 15 I'll post again. Yay! :D

- Monday, 21 Jun I remember Trent and Roger - they were the former college football players. Well done on losing the weight nice and steadily - it's the best way to keep it all off. kimkayb
